Whole30 Compliant, Creamy Cinnamon Roll Latte

Hello friends! Are you trying to make healthier choices but hate missing out on all the tasty treats that come with fall? I feel ya! My husband and I have been really focusing on eating Whole30 compliant or clean eating meals this month. It’s went well, but I have been so tempted by all the fall drinks available! Pumpkin Spice Latte, Carmel Apple Spice, Cinnamon Roll Latte, Pecan Maple Frappe, the list goes on. But did you know that most of these fall themed drinks are completely loaded with sugar and can pack almost half a days calories in a cup?!
I needed find an alternative that allowed me to still enjoy a warm cup of fall, and not completely blow my healthy eating for the day. It has been a while since I posted here, mainly because life has been a tad chaotic lately. We moved! Which as many of you know, I am very excited about, bit also a tad stressed. “My life in boxes” would’ve been an accurate title for this blog post. Anyway this Cinnamon Roll Latte recipe is super easy to make and the perfect way to relax and unwind this season.
How to make a Whole30 Compliant Cinnamon Roll Latte
What makes this latte Whole30 compliant is the use of coconut milk and the lack of added sugar. It is much less sweeter than sugary coffee shop drinks, and if you wanted to sweeten it up some I would recommend adding either maple syrup or honey.
Now you can make these lattes on your stovetop by using a whisk to froth the coconut milk and mix well. But I would recommend investing in a frother. They sell convenient hand held models like this one I bought for a friend’s wedding gift, and they are pretty cheap.
If you decided that you really want to get into making lattes at home (which I totally recommend, it saves a TON of money in the long run and is soooo easy to do) then I would suggest buying a latte or expresso maker. I have this one from Mr.Coffee and I LOVE it. I use it all the time to make everything from coffee lattes, tea lattes, to the frothiest hot chocolate. Unfortunately though, Mr. Coffee stopped making my model, you can still buy it from Amazon here….but the price has gotten steep.
I would suggest something more affordable like this machine which not only can brew coffee or expresso, but also froths the milk. And it gets great customer reviews.
Without further ado here is my recipe for a Whole30 Compliant Creamy Cinnamon Roll Latte…
Creamy Cinnamon Roll Latte, Whole30 Compliant
Ingredients
- 6 oz brewed coffee
- 4 tbsp coconut milk I used the canned kind in either full fat or lite
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

If using a latte maker add all ingredients to the pitcher, turn setting to heat and froth. Once the machine has stopped your latte is ready!

If using the stove top place all ingredients in a small sauce pan on medium heat. Mix vigorously with a whisk to froth the milk as the latte heats up. Once hot remove and serve.
